Matthew 28:18-20 ESV
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Notice how we are commanded to
- Make disciples
- Teaching them to observe everything Jesus commanded us
- Discipleship Tetrahedron (Christ’s Authority, Intentional Relationships, Sound Doctrine, and Obedience)
How do we fulfill this command?
- Have you been discipled?
- If so, what are you doing to make more disciples?
- FCFInternational is focused on making disciples who then go out and make more disciples.
- Discipleship Tetrahedron (Christ’s Authority, Intentional Relationships, Sound Doctrine, and Obedience)
- Studying our Bible with another firefighter or first responder is mission-critical if we want to obey Christ’s command to disciple others.

FCFInternationals strategy is not to build another discipleship program. The strategy of our ministry is to build relationships that encourage believers to conform to the image of Christ, to grow in their spiritual maturity, so that the entire body of Christ is unified in its worship and service for God. The strategy of the discipleship ministry is spiritual transformation; it is ultimately God’s work of radically changing a believer’s interior world by giving him/her a new identity in Christ (II Corinthians 5:17).
Eternal salvation is free. Discipleship costs everything. We are told to die to self and take up our cross daily. This is not a popular message for today’s fire service.
